Passing the exam that qualifies doctors in the United States of America, write a thesis in just one day, take any and all types of tests without any problem, always passing with distinction… all of this could be part of the script of a film that follows the life of a gifted person, with above-average intelligence, but no: these are just some of the achievements already accomplished by ChatGPT.

Considered one of the most advanced and effective language models ever created, ChatGPT – short for Generative Pre-Trained Transformer – is a chatbot available to the public, which, through artificial intelligence, promises to answer any question or challenge posed to it, always maintaining a conversational tone.

Created and launched in November of last year by OpenAI, company founded in 2015 by Elon Musk (who left the company in 2018) and other associates, the language model is trained and developed in a system of machine learning, which allows you to improve your knowledge in a manner similar to humans. Despite some flaws and occasional errors that have already been detected, the capability of this tool is surprising, being already considered a historic breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to tests from the site SEO.ai, ChatGPT is available in more than one hundred languages, including Portuguese (Brazil), but its maximum performance is achieved when the user uses English. Upon its launch, in just five days, the tool was used by more than one million people, who, consciously or unconsciously, contributed and contribute to its development, which learns when a mistake is corrected by the user and improves its language with the millions of conversations it has daily.

Despite the more extreme examples presented at the beginning of this article, ChatGPT can be a quite useful tool in our daily lives, for tasks as simple as cooking, clarifying some doubt about laundry or even to help you choose the ideal Refurbished computer for you. However, in the professional field, ChatGPT has been seen as a threat for certain functions, such as, for example, journalist or programmer, for being able to easily write articles and create/correct website codes.

For now, the tool is available to the public of free form, you can test it here, with a premium plan (ChatGPT Plus) also available for those who want to have access to all features firsthand and priority support. As for the use of ChatGPT in situations where it should not happen, as in the examples presented at the beginning of this article, OpenAI has already made available a tool that allows to check whether texts were written using ChatGPT or not, so that this does not happen.
