DELL VS LENOVO VS HP

When it comes time to choose the computer, there are several factors that influence the decision. One must consider the technical specifications, the mark, the design, the price and until the after-sales support. In this article, we present some of the advantages of three of the most dominant brands in the market: DELL, LENOVO and HP!

In Portugal, according to a study conducted by DECO, the HP is the elected by consumers.

DELL

THE Dell is a North American technology company based in Texas. Founded in 1984, is currently one of the largest technology companies in the world, employing more than 100,000 people.

Dell produces desktop computers, laptops and accessories. It is known for its made-to-order manufacturing approach and direct sales.

Dell produces several laptops using different processors, such as Intel and AMD. Its computers cheaper laptops normally use dual-core processors and the quad-core processors are installed in the gaming computers and in the machines professionals

Dell PCs come in various screen sizes. The 17-inch screens on gaming laptops have a image quality impressive and FHD resolution. Even the 11-inch screens on the low-cost models are high definition. As for the graphics, Dell uses both NVIDIA graphics processors as the AMD Radeon, both with a good track record and industry standard.

THE most frequent complaint of consumers regarding Dell computers is the battery life. Most of your machines contain only 3-cell batteries. 4 or 6-cell batteries are more common when better performance and battery life are expected.

LENOVO

THE Lenovo is a Chinese brand headquartered in Beijing, China and North Carolina, USA. Founded in 1984, this company currently has more than 54,000 employees. Lenovo produces smartphones, televisions, tablets and a range of laptops. The brand's major worldwide successes were the model ThinkPad and the IdeaPad.

Most Lenovo laptops come equipped with Intel processors. Like Dell, the dual-core processors are installed on computers low-cost laptops, while the models more expensive use quad-core processors.

As for graphics, Lenovo sticks with Intel and uses its range of HD graphics processors. In laptops for gaming, are used GeForce processors, known for their high performance.

THE disadvantage from Lenovo in relation to its direct competition is the image resolution. Laptops come in various screen sizes but do not favor high-resolution screens compared to PCs from other brands with similar prices.

Compared to Dell, Lenovo has better customer feedback in terms of battery life. Lenovo laptops use 6-cell batteries, which causes the battery life to vary between 5 and 10 hours. If you are looking for a durable PC, Lenovo is a good choice.

In terms of price, if you are with a lower budget or looking for a machine to competitive prices, Lenovo is a great option. Its most basic laptops start at €300. But if you want a laptop with more advanced features (for gaming, for example), these can cost almost 2500€.

HP

THE HP, or Hewlett-Packard, is an American company, founded in California, in 1939. It became the world's leading PC manufacturer in 2007 and held this title until 2013, when it was replaced by Lenovo. However, in Portugal, HP continues to lead, being the preferred laptop brand of consumers

HP PCs use various processors depending on the cost of the machine. HP laptops average/low budget come with a processor i5-10210U of 1.8 GHz. The equipment more expensive have a processor Intel i7 of 1,8-4,0 GHz.

If you have a tighter budget, you can get an HP for only €280 or the HP Pavilion x360 for about €400. Gaming laptops with best graphics and large storage roam the R$2,000.
